THINK INTERNATIONALLY, SAYS KAMAL

Kamal Haasan as the Chairman of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) joined hands with the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in Malaysia for creative development and improvising the entertainment industry in the two countries. They will be co-producing movies with special effects.

The investment for the project will be from the Malaysian side, confirmed the Malaysian counterpart and human resources should be brought in to make this project a success. Kamal also affirmed that he will be part of the project and that is why he is here for the press meet.

While speaking on this, Kamal said that for every project to happen human resource is vital and only individuals make it happen and cited the example of Cyberjaya. Though it was commissioned only individuals made it happen he quoted.

The actor also spoke of how he was made. Kamal said that he did not learn acting from any particular school, but some of the great people at the film studios he was associated with taught him the art without even being aware that they are teaching and he learnt without being aware he is learning.

The Ulaga Nayagan said that the industry is bigger than the FICCI. He added that the expertise from Malaysia will be used. Since it is a raw industry, the seeds can be sowed without any contamination, claimed the actor.

Kamal also said that we should stop thinking locally and should find out means to attract the international market. Language is only a tool and it will not hinder the success of any film, he added. Films are made only to cater to the masses and the literates are left out in the race and hence they move towards international arena to quench their thirst for good films. This concept should be changed and concentration should be given to entertain all sections of people.
